This weekend brought exciting news in our house. We are renovating (again!)...and we start in 2 weeks! Eeeeek! Three years ago we fully gutted the main floor of our early 1900's semi-detached house in Toronto, just in time for the arrival of our first-born. We didn't address any of the rest of the house at that time, with plans to finish "in the near future." Well, clearly we had no idea what having a child would do to our free time (and lets be honest, our free money!). And then at the beginning of 2017 we added another child, and here we are, 3 years later living in half a renovated house. Isn't that just how it goes? Time to rip off the Band-Aid.

This renovation will address replacing the *very* old and very squeaky original second floor flooring, doors, and baseboards, as well as clearing the old carpet out of one room so that I can finally build a functional and beautiful office. Oh, and we will also be adding a new powder room, which means we will have (count them) TWO toilets in our house. Hallelujah!

So today on Inspiration Monday's (that's what I am calling these posts now, by the way), I am talking Statement Sinks! Since this powder room is going to be located on the main floor, it is going to get A LOT of use by us and by our guests. I always thought I would love a minimal aesthetic with a few special details to go with the rest of the house, but powder rooms really are an opportunity to inject a little excitement and fun into your space. You really can make a BIG impact in a tiny room, and there are more details than a bold wallpaper that can get you there (though I do LOVE a bold wallpaper!). So here I am, looking up sinks until the wee hours of the morning, trying to decide between these bad boys, thinking I should maybe just build 6 powder rooms so that I'm not forced to decide! Which one would you choose? How do you like a very bold sink in the bathroom? I'd love to hear your opinions in the comments!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I LOVE Green! So for St. Patrick's Day, I've collected a few of my favourite green things from around the interwebs. Enjoy!

1. Cambie Blankets in Sage and White, and Olive and White. I cannot get enough of these! Perfect for cozying up at home, to add a little texture and pattern in a room, or to wear as a blanket scarf. Find them at #cambiedesign

2. Muuto Five Pouf in Thyme. #muutodesign

3. CB2 Potted Succulent in Copper Pot. Keep over watering your succulents? Get a pretty fake one so you can faux-get about it (see what I did there?) #cb2 #cb2canada

4. West Elm Metalized Glass Table Lamp + USB. Could this little gem be any cuter? And it has a USB port! Score! #westelm

5. Julia Contacessi Original Painting - Tonic #1 and #2. The perfect little abstract paintings to take your vignette up a notch. #fineartcontacessi

6. IKEA Gladom Tray Table in Dark Green - Great design at an attainable pricepoint, which let's face it, IKEA does amazingly well. Love IKEA! #ikeacanada #ikea

7. Anthropologie Velvet Everly Chair in Turquoise. This one hits all the high points. Brass. Green. Velvet. Oh, and it's 20% off today! #anthropologie_home #anthropologie
